Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI Highlights 2013



Rain may have disturbed the continuity of the series, but is good for Bangladesh as it has given great opportunity to strengthen their position in the tour. Bangladeshis were not so impressive throughout their series against Sri Lanka, but now the team is working hard and practicing day and night to level the series.
The final match of one day series will be played on 28th March 2013 at Pallekelle on 14:30 local or 09:00 GMT or 14:00 PKT. The match will going to be a memorable and full of nail biting moments as both the teams fight to get success. If Sri Lanka wins this third game, they will be declared as the successful team in this tour and if Bangladesh wins, they will register new history in their cricket record.

After embarrassing defeat in test series, the team has lost hopes to be successful but the captain is still confident and believes over the abilities of his team. He knows that the team has ingredients to fight brilliantly against world’s strongest team. Duo of Nasir Hossain and Tamim Iqbal will be the biggest weapon for their success. Tamim has made a hundred and added 112 runs in team’s total. Nasir Hossain has added 73 runs and supported Tamim effectively. Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Mohammad Ashraful totally collapse to play well in the series but still, there are hopes that they will perform remarkably in the third one day game.
If Bangladesh wants to win this third ODI game, they will have to strengthen their bowling abilities. The pacers were smashed by the Sri Lankan batsmen due to which, their confidence level is lowered and have not performed so effectively in the first match.
For Sri Lanka, this victory is of paramount importance as the circumstances and conditions all are favorable for them. Although the team is surrounded by lots of controversies regarding IPL, they are just focusing over this series so that they can improve their international cricket reputation and can prove that they have got capabilities to win against any team of the world. The players will not have to underestimate Bangladeshi players because they are improving themselves and within a very short time, they will be able to give tough times to world’s top teams.
Mushfiqur Rahim has also admitted this fact that the boys have impressively improved themselves from the last two years due to which, he has believed that they can win third match. With the return of Mohammad Ashraful, team has got some confidence and motivated to become successful in the third one day game.
On the other hand, Sri Lankan players have got advantage of their homeland, home condition and crowd. Their batting as well as bowling is strong in comparison to Bangladesh. Dilshan has added great strengthen in the opening duo and performed remarkably in the first ODI match. He has made 113 runs with the strike rate of 104.62. Kumar Sangakara and Kaushal Perera also played their parts and helped Dilshan to lead the score to 238 runs. Perera has made 42 runs while, Sangakara has made 63 runs.
Bowling is the biggest strength for Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga is also expected to play well in the third ODI like he has played in first one day match. Angelo Mathews is confident to win this third match as the players are equipped with all ingredients to shock the visitors.
