Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by 44 runs in the 10th game of the Indian Premier League 2013 on Tuesday.

Batting first after winning the toss, the Mumbai Indians overcame the loss of two early wickets to post a superb 209/5 from their 20 overs.
Dinesh Karthik was the star of the show with 86 runs from 48 balls and was supported by Rohit Sharma who made 74.
In reply, Delhi did not start too well and despite Dave Warner’s 61 and a near-fifty from Manprit Juneja, the team fell way short of the target.
Ricky Ponting was the first batsman dismissed in the first over of the innings for a duck before Sachin Tendulkar was run-out next over for just one run. At 1/2, Mumbai Indians looked like they were in huge strife, but it was the third wicket stand between Karthik and Rohit that took the game away from Delhi.
Karthik was brutal from the very beginning and never gave up on his scoring rate, continuing from where he had left off in the previous couple of games. There were 14 boundaries in his innings that also included two sixes. His dismissal could have stalled the innings, but Rohit took over from there and with Ambati Rayadu (24) and Kieron Pollard (13) also contributing, a score of 209 was recorded.
Delhi lost a couple of early wickets too but unlike Mumbai, they never recovered from their losses. Dave Warner scored 61 and Juneja 49, but that wasn’t enough to get Delhi their first win.
Karthik was declared the man of the match for his superb knock.
